Lagi Power, Lagi Best! Perodua Myvi 1.5L

For those who have been following, I'm sure you remember that I went to the Lagi Best media preview and test drive of the new Myvi. So I was very surprised when I got another invitation just three months after to do it again!

I'll be honest with you, this whole thing... really felt like deja vu to me....

Same place. Similar signs. Same faces.

Almost the same looking power point presentation.

The new Myvis were parked at the same spot, with the same grey covers.

And the same guys unveiled the cars....

Ready...

Set...

GO!!!

They even posed the same way...

This is the Myvi 1.5L Extreme. It's the sportier one compared to the two...

It's got a nice fancy spoiler...

Love the wordings. Esp on white. Really does give it an edge, don't you think?

This is what it looks like from the front.

See the diff in the front design?

The Extreme's got a fiercer two toned 'face'

While the SE has a sleeker looking 'face'
(sorry, diff colored car! I took these pix in the show canopy because there were just WAAAYYYY too many people at the unveiling spot)

Wicked 7-spoke alloy wheels.
I'm not entirely gear head so I don't really understand when they said "Wicked". What's so wicked about this?

Anyways, back to the whole deja vu thing... I had a feeling that it was going to be a very similar test drive....

I sat down and was given a number...

Then my Myvi arrived. I got the Extreme in the signature color - Majestic Yellow

As you can see I was quite eager to get into the car!

That's me behind the wheel before I started the journey...

We got a longer track this time around. The last time we literally drove down the road and back (about 4km or so if I'm not mistaken) but this time, it was a much longer track. We actually got to go towards Dengkil and back, giving us ample time and space to actually test it!

I must say. I'm quite impressed with it. Drives like a dream. Manoeuvres easily around corners, bends and parking spots. Pick up from a stand still was good. I actually liked how the Extreme performed.
